Multi-region healthcare recruitment platform for doctors, nurses and allied health professionals in Australia, UK, USA and New Zealand.
Soda Digital was commissioned by Medical Jobs to design and engineer a scalable healthcare recruitment marketplace designed to support multiple countries, user types, and high-volume search-driven job discovery. The platform was built to serve healthcare professionals, recruiters, advertisers, and administrators through a connected digital ecosystem that combines advanced search, directory functionality, recruiter workflows, and scalable content architecture.
More than a standard jobs board, the solution functions as a multi-region healthcare recruitment platform engineered to support large volumes of searchable listings, complex user interactions, and long-term international growth.
Healthcare recruitment platforms face a unique combination of operational and user experience challenges. Job seekers need fast and intuitive ways to search large volumes of highly specialised roles across professions, locations, and healthcare disciplines. Recruiters and advertisers require streamlined workflows for listing management, candidate reach, and account administration. At the same time, platform operators need scalable tools for managing content, moderation, SEO, integrations, and regional expansion.
Challenge
One of the most technically complex aspects of the project was the searchable directory infrastructure powering the platform. Healthcare recruitment generates large volumes of structured content across professions, specialties, categories, and geographic regions.
Soda Digital engineered the platform to support advanced search and filtering functionality while maintaining fast performance and scalable information architecture. The platform also required substantial integration work across a range of operational systems and third-party services. The platform supports:
profession-based search
category filtering
location-based discovery
structured healthcare taxonomies
dynamic search results
SEO-indexable landing pages
large-scale content discoverability
This search-first architecture helps users access highly relevant roles more quickly while also supporting long-term organic traffic growth through scalable SEO structures.
Solution
For the Medical Jobs platform ecosystem, using the latest version of Umbraco CMS provided a modern and scalable foundation capable of supporting high-volume search, complex content structures, multi-region platform management, and ongoing feature evolution.
The newer Umbraco architecture also enabled stronger performance, improved security, cleaner API integrations, and a more flexible content management experience for administrators managing large volumes of healthcare jobs, landing pages, and searchable directory content across multiple international markets. Soda Digital engineered and connected workflows supporting:
recruiter and advertiser accounts
job-listing management
search indexing
email and notification systems
analytics and tracking
content publishing
API-based data workflows
platform administration and moderation
Managing this level of integration complexity required careful backend architecture and workflow planning to ensure the platform remained stable, scalable, and easy to manage as the ecosystem expanded. The solution was designed not only to support current operational requirements, but also to provide the flexibility needed for future growth across additional regions and services.
By combining marketplace engineering, advanced search architecture, UX strategy, and integration management, Soda Digital helped create a platform a connected healthcare recruitment ecosystem designed to support the ongoing growth of both job seekers and recruiters across international markets.
